Openings and stairways can be located wherever needed. Load capacity can be increased in your heavy load areas.

What is Pallet-Flow Rack?

Pallet-Flow Rack utilizes first-in/first-out rotation of pallets by using gravity flow to bring product from the stocking aisle to the picking aisle.   It is a high density type of storage and picking system.  This type of a system increases full pallet order picking productivity by minimizing the fork lift travel distance between items picked.  When compared to a static storage system, pallet-flow rack saves valuable warehouse space.

What in Drive-In Rack?

Drive-In Rack is a high density type storage system that offers a limited amount of options.  The pallets are stored in bays.  A fork lift actually drives into the rack structure using several positions to store and retrieve pallet loads. Drive-In rack stores and retrieves pallets from the same aisle in a last-in, first-out order.  It is ideally suited for warehouses that maintain a large quantity of a relatively low number of SKUs (stock keeping units). Usually, the same SKU and/or lot number is stored in the same bay because no level can be accessd independently from the others.

Four-Wheel forklifts have either an electric, propane, diesel or gasoline engine and come with pneumatic or cushion tires.  Electric forklifts with cushion tires are usually used indoors and run on smooth surfaces.  Also, they are perfect for areas with little ventilation because they do not release emissions.

Internal combusion forklifts (diesel, propane and gasoline) generate more power than an electric and move quicker over long distances.  Propane trucks can be used indoors where there is some ventilation.  When equipped with pneumatic tires they have greater ground clearance and travel on a variety of surfaces.  Capacities range from 3,000 lbs - 80,000 lbs.
